The Golden Treasury bookshop was opened in 1995 from a desire to provide the best in children\'s books to local children and families in Wandsworth.



The business has grown over the years and the Southfields-located bookshop is now triple the size of the original, and one of the largest and best regarded independent children\'s book specialists in Britain.



The focus is very much on providing expert knowledge and a high level of customer service. Our booksellers read widely and can be relied upon to give helpful advice and recommendations. They also contribute book reviews of books about to be published, or recently published.



Books



The stock range extends from pregnancy and childcare titles, through to early years and on to teenagers. For adults we have a carefully chosen mix of prize-winning titles, non-fiction and cookery. Any book not in stock can be ordered and is generally available within a few days. Exclusive signed copies are also often available.



Our extensive Home Learning section includes books up to Common Entrance level and we are delighted to announce that we are the new sole London stockist for Galore Park Galore Park icon ISEB titles.



Book Character Toys and Games



We stock a range of book-related character toys including Hungry Caterpillar, Elmer and Tintin. We also have Orchard Toys, Zoobookoo, the fabulous Crocodile Creek range from USA and the must-have travel accessory for your child – TRUNKI suitcases. These toys and games can all be supplied by post to customers anywhere in the UK.



Events at the Bookshop



The bookshop boasts an exciting events programme and customers can receive regular emails about upcoming events. Events in the last year include Axel Scheffler, Cressida Cowell, Michelle Paver, Jane Ray and many more.



Schools



Providing books and expert advice to teachers is an important part of our business at The Golden Treasury. We are pleased to offer the following services to schools and nurseries:



* 12.5% discount on school orders (excluding titles from educational publishers such as Heinemann, Ginn and Nelson Thornes).

* Orders can be placed via email, fax or post – we do need a hard copy, please.

* Free delivery, including to areas within the congestion charging zone.

* Arranging author visits – we have many contacts within the publishing world and can arrange author visits and supply books for signing.

* Book recommendations

* Visits to schools to discuss new titles

* Supply of books on \"an approval\" basis



We stock an extensive range of multicultural and PSHE titles.



We welcome class visits, and are also happy to extend our normal opening hours for groups of teachers, by prior arrangement.
